Hello, I am a staff writer at New York Magazine. I write magazine features about politics, ideas, business, and culture, both in New York City and nationally.

My work has also been published in Vanity Fair, Wired, The Atlantic, Bloomberg Businessweek, ESPN, The Washington Post, Columbia Journalism Review, Politico Magazine, National Journal Magazine (RIP), Newsweek, The Washington Monthly, Washington City Paper, and other publications. Earlier in my career, I was a staff writer at Philadelphia magazine. Before that I was a reporter-researcher at The New Republic.

I am also a co-director of the Princeton Summer Journalism Program, an intensive seminar /summer camp for high school journalists from low-income backgrounds. I subscribe to lots of magazines and hope they all stick around in one form or another. I live in New York City.
